The Common Effort fund, started by the Common Man family in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, is dedicated to assisting those in need.

The Common Man family hosts several fund-raisers over the course of the year in order to build up the Common Effort fund, and dedicates 10 cents from each cup of coffee sold in all 13 restaurants to Common Effort.

Past recipients of Common Effort grants include organizations in New Orleans struggling with the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, and the New Hampshire Food Bank, which is battling a critical shortage in food and funds.
